Today I worked on some homemade spaghetti sauce.  I had all these beautiful tomatoes from my grandmother's garden that needed to put to good use before going bad.  We all love tomato sandwiches in my house but we couldn't eat them fast enough.  I also ended up finishing off all the basil on my plant.  I used a lot more than what is shown in the first picture.  I got 3 good bags of spaghetti sauce

Today the children and I made pretzels!  It was super easy and tons of fun!  We got lots of interesting shapes!  Near the end I finally started to perfect the way they should be rolled out and folded.  Everyone thinks they taste really good.  I'm not much of a pretzel fan but these were pretty tasty! Yesterday I received this special card in the mail! My sister Karina has started making cards and this was her first one. It's really pretty and I love the stamping on it. This Thursday we made tie dye butterflies using coffee filters for the wings and food coloring for the dye. They also have magnets on the back. All three of the children had fun "painting" the "wings". Today for Project Thursday we made bean mosaics. The kids had a great time. Jhet did really good with his after he stopped trying to eat the playdough and the beans.Here's Mycah's. It's been forever since I have sewn. I have been so busy with Jhet this passed year that I haven't really had time to sew like I would have liked. I started knitting him a blanket over a year ago and there is no hope of that being finished anytime soon..maybe never...lol. So I picked up a pack of fabrics to make him a quilt. For lack of actually having any crafts to post, here's a pic of tonights dinner.  Spinach, blue cheese, and bacon stuffed chicken, pasta salad, and green beans with garlic.  It was sooo yummy.As far as crafting goes I have been working on a knitted blanket for Jhet's birthday which I'm not gonna be finished with in time.  I lost alot of time for knitting while we were in the hospital.  Oh well.

UPDATE: After more tests and Jhet's liver biopsy results we found out that Jhet has GSD type 9 not 1a. Most of you know that Jhet was admitted to UNC Chidlren's hospital a week and a half ago. Ok, the soap looks a little funky, but it came out great! I am VERY happy with it. I used my own recipe..which really isn't that original...lol. But I used Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and Palm Oil, and I used just a touch of tangerine EO. The smell came out great with just a hint of tangerine. The soap itself, without the tangerine, has a good smell as well.

Here is my first cart cover. I looked at some pics and just kinda "winged" it. I think I made the leg openings to big. This cover is being demonstrated on a Food Lion cart. But I think the Walmart carts are alot "deeper" than this one. So we'll have to see. This is the first time Jhet has ever sat in a cart. I finished knitting this pair of longies for Jhet last night. I still need to add the drawstring though. I made them a little long in the legs so he could wear them for a while. However I think the rise needs to be bigger. I have alot of changes planned for this pattern the next time I knit it up. Overall I am pleased with this pair.
