Today's Work

Today I finished two newborn AIO's.

The black one has an inner of alova suede and the circles one has brown flannel.

Leopard Print AIO

Here is a medium leopard print AIO. Christi gave me this diaper cut and at first I wasn't sure I was gonna like it, but now that it's finished I like it much better.

Today's Embellished Prefolds

Well, today is really rainy outside so I decided to do some sewing. I went ahead and added some stuff to my prefolds. I have ordered more diaper making material and I'm hoping it comes today so I can work on some of my other diapers.
Katie (the baby doll), was kind enough to model these prefolds for us :)

My Dyed Prefolds

Well, this was my first time dying something. I got my preemie prefolds yesterday and thought I would try my hand at dying them. I ordered them unbleached so I think the colors might would have been a little more vibrant had they been bleached. Anyways, for my green ones I tried dying them in the sink which didn't go to well. The drain in my sink had a slow leak so I kept loosing my water. So I kept having to add water plus they didn't get to soak for a whole hour. For my blue ones I decided to try them in the washing machine as some other people I read about had done. It was much easier and my diapers got a much more even color dying them in the washing machine. I will definitely be using that method from now on. All in all I'm really pleased with how they both turned out (I didn't think my greens would be this good). I am hopefully gonna do a few more embellishing to them, but we will see. Shane was impressed with how good they looked and couldn't believe I had dyed them.

What I See...

Well, Karina had a post about what do you see from your kitchen sink. She also challenged us not to clean the area first. So this is what I see when standing at my sink. Usually my counter isn't that cluttered, but pregnancy is slowing me down. I don't think I see to much. I do get to see out to my living room which I like. When we moved in there was a wall here with cabinets, but my hubby knocked it out and put a counter there so the rooms would feel more open. I like it

Trin's Quilt Top

Here is Trin's quilt top. On my anniversary my hubby surprised me with a surprise trip to Joann's to go shopping. While I was there I saw this princess fabric I thought would be great for Trin. So I decided to make it into a quilt. Shane was so wonderful walking around and looking a everything with me and helping me pick out fabric and other goodies. This wasn't what I originally intended for Trin's quilt, but I am pleased. It is a very basic pattern, but worked out good since I don't have much energy in me right now.

My Coffee Cup

In response to a post from Karina at Karina's Krafts I have posted a pic of my favorite coffee cup. It is actually a cup that comes from her. She sent this coffee cup along with some other goodies one Christmas and it has been my favorite ever since. I always get to think of her when I use my cup. And with the cold weather coming and hot chocolate season approaching I will have lots of time to think of her :)

My Stash So Far

Here's my stash so far. It's smalls and newborns. I still need to order my prefolds and covers and make/order a few more nb's. I washed them and they are ready for our new baby!

Last night my friend Lorraine came over and learned how to make a diaper. I talked her through how to make this diaper and she did a great job. This is a small pocket diaper.

My New Sewing Room

This diaper is made of dark brown cordoroy. I absolutley love this diaper. I think this is one of my favorites! Hard to see the cordoroy in the pic though.

Yesterday we found out we were having a little boy! Mycah picked out this fabric with airplanes and helicopters on it to be a diaper for our new baby.

Red Fitted Diaper

This is a small fitted diaper I made the other day. The inner is made of soft alova suede that I had gotten a while back, but I needed a good outer print to match. Then I saw this this fat quater on sale so I picked it up to make this diaper.

Newest AIO Dipe

Here is the first diaper I have made for our new baby. Well, if it turns out to be a girl which we don't know yet...lol. I figure I will give this to my niece Sara if we have a little boy. Anyways, I love this fabric and thought it would make a beautiful diaper. It's and AIO with microfiber fleece for the inner and microfiber towels for the soaker. This is a size small.

I put laundry tabs on it too :D

Another Summer Dress

Here is the latest summer dress I made for Trin. I made this a few weekends ago. It has two pockets on the front which Trin loves.

New Summer Dress

I finally was feeling good enough to do a little sewing. So I made this dress for Trin. She picked out the solid purple wich I was suprised she didn't want something more flowery. So I added the ribbon to give it a little color. The front top is like a wrap and it crosses over itself. Hard to see in the pic though.
