And Another Soaker

Ok, so here is another soaker. You will be seeing alot of these and diapers through out the next months :) I started this soaker on the plane and ran out of yarn, so I had Shane send me another skein and I finished it up tonight. When I get home I am looking forward to getting some circular needles and trying some of the other soaker patterns suggested to me.

Dyed Soaker

Ok, this was the first soaker I knitted. I went ahead and added the ruffle legs and dyed it. I decided Trin can use it at night since she is still in cloth pull ups at night. I wanted it to be a little more pink but I didn't add enought water, but Trin is happy with it. I'm gonna lanolize it tonight so it will be ready for tomorrow night.

Third Soaker

Ok, here is my latest soaker. I made this one for Karina with some yarn she gave me. This is a size newborn. Oh so tiny and cute! I am also working on putting ruffle legs on my first soaker. Karina taught me how to crocet them so I should hopefully be posting that tomorrow.
I know...it's gonna be pretty dull around here since the only thing I can really do now is knit soakers. I also started a soaker on the plane and then ran out of yarn, but Shane mailed me some more today so as soon as I get that I can finish my other one. The color for that one is black, grey, and white.

From Hawaii

Well, the children and I are in Hawaii visiting my sister so I probably won't be posting any new projects for a bit. I am working on some soakers here and there so I will try to post those when I get them finished.

Another New Dress

Here is another dress like the purple one I made for Trin. This was the original fabric Trin had picked out, but then she saw the purple and chose that. Well, since the fabric was 60% off and they were practically giving it away I went back and got it and made her another dress similar to her other.

This one does not have folds at the bottom, but instead I put ruffles.

New Pajama Bottoms for Trin

Here are Trin's new pajama bottoms. They were pretty easy. I sewed them up last night. I really love this flannel. I bought it to start making diapers, but ended up with this. I got this flannel at my Walmart for 50% off. It is one of the ones that are closing their fabric department :(

Trin was being really cuddley with Daddy this morning. These were some pics I took before I got her pj pics. She even wanted Daddy to walk to the door with her to get her pic taken, it was really sweet.

Mycah's New Napkins

Here are Mycah's new napkins. He picked out this fabric for them. He LOVES planes and helicopters. I had wanted to make more than three, but with trying to cut the napkins so they have the whole plane on them makes it harder to get as many out of the fabric. They are backed with cream flannel.

I also finished a pair of pajama bottoms for Trin tonight, but she is not up to try them on so I will post pics of them tomorrow :)

First Knitted Wool Soaker

Here is my first soaker. I'm glad I'm finally able to make my own. I really want to make gender specific soakers, but for now plain white will have to do. The legs are not finished yet. I'm waiting to know the sex of the baby before I add them, and too dye it. I have lots of soaker making ahead of me. I have to get Karina's soakers and my own soakers made. I can't wait till I can add some designs too the back of them :)
Also, If you have any other free soaker pattern sites I could check out just leave it in the comments section..thanks so much.
I got this pattern at here

Trin's New Dress

Here is a dress I finished for Trin last night. It's a really cute little dress. She picked out her fabric and keeps wanting to know when it will be finished.

I appliqued some flowers on it then hand embroidered the stems. This was my first time hand embroidering and I must say that it can be addicting. I really hope to learn more hand embroidery in the future.

Here are "tucks" that are at the bottom of her dress.

And finally just a pic of the back.

Now I just have to finish all the other projects on my list. I need to start getting diapers made. I bought some flannel to start making some fitteds, but it's so cute I might make Trin some pajama bottoms. I need to start knitting soakers. I got a good pattern I think so hopefully in the next few days I will start on my first soaker. I have a baby quilt I need to get finished as a baby gift. Plus all the extra fun things that I just want to do.

New Gameboy Carrying Case

Well, I finshed Mycah's Gameboy carrying case today and I must say I am very proud of this case. I appliqued an 'M' on the front but left the edges open so they will fray. They're not frayed yet...who knew that when you want something to fray, it won't!
Here is the front flap that opens up and has vinyl pockets to put 4 games. You can see 2 games in there now (they are wrapped however). This flap/pocket verlcros shut with the front flap.
Here is the main compartment. I love the material that I used for the linning. I put batting around this compartment to make it a little more 'safe'. This compartment also velcros shut

Here it is with the Gameboy inside. Yes, it's only a Gameboy color. As he gets older we will advance him to more 'expensive' travel gameing systems.

Frusterated!

I am so upset. I have found out that if I want the knew features with blogger that I cannot keep my own blog skins, but will have to use one of theirs. I really want to use the label system so I can have all my crafts categorized. I have spent the last 2 1/2 hours labeling all my posts sense I started this blog! Then I find out that certain things that I like to have on my blog will not work with their templates. ie, my homeschool banner at the top, and my wips bar. So now I am stuck deciding what I really want. I am still working with their customized templates to see if I get my stuff to work, but it seems hopeless :(

Play Dough and CHRISTmas Presents

Ok, I decided to go ahead and post some pics of the things I have been working on. I still have a few more of the peppermint wreaths to make, but everything else is pretty much finished. I do have one more thing I have to get made before CHRISTmas and that is Mycah's carrying case for his gameboy that we are giving him. I had originally planned on going to ebay to get one, but then duh!!! it hit me...I can just make his carrying case and make it better than the ones I would buy. So I will be getting fabric for that hopefully tomorrow or Saturday to get that finished. Which it shouldn't take to long to make, but I am planning on appliqueing an M on it for him, and giving it "raggedy" boy look. So we shall see how that comes out! Until then... Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps. I am now officially part of the new blogger!

Here is Batman and the Plum fairy playing with some homemade play dough I made for them this morning. They love this stuff. Especially using the rolling pin and cookie cutters.

Batman holding up something he made...can't remember now what it was.

Close up of the Plum fairy.

Still working hard.

Here is the peppermint wreath that I made for our tree.

Here are some of the peppermint wreaths I made. I made some of these along time ago before we had children and liked them so much. So I was happy I rememberd how to make them.

Here are some homemade hot cocoa jars I made...ok they are not really in jars. It's a ziploc container. The last two still need "hats" though.
