Here is the pic of my finished quilt. I'm disappointed that I had so many problems quitling it. The machine kept gathering too much on the backside. Therefore making the top not fit the bottom. There are butterflies quilted in each of the squares, but you can't see them. The invisable thread used to quilt this was horriable to use. I had soooooo many problems with it. I had alot of fun making this and can't wait to start my next one. However I think I'm going to hold off on the quilting part until I get a new machine. Which will hopefully be soon.
Here is a babydoll crib that my brother Andy made. Trin loves this crib. She loves putting her baby to bed. The sheet part I made with batting in it because when she would put her baby in you could hear the head hit the wood...lol. So now it's cushioned. The baby blanket also has batting in it and is quilted down with diamond designs. It's a really cute crib:)
Here is a pair of wool sweater longies I made for Trin out of a recycled wool sweater. Usually wool covers are made to be used as diaper covers. Since wool is naturally antibacterial and can absorb up to 30% of it's weight in wetness. You only have to wash it once a month or so (depending on it's usage). When I sold all my diapers I sold my wool covers as well. I made this one to go over Trin's training pants at night in case of any overflows. This way her bedding can stay dry. If you would like more info on wool and wool covers you can check out this site http://www.thediaperhyena.com/woolscool.htm I had inteded to take a pic of the sweater before I turned it into little longies, but I forgot. It's neat to see how you can recycle stuff and reuse. What was once a sweater I wore is now my child's wool longies..how cool!
Here is the top part of my quilt. The back and the batting isn't finished yet, nor the quilting part. I just wanted to give an update for those of u wanting to see what I have finished so far. I got the borders finished yesterday, however I think I am gonna put one more border of yellow. Hopefully in about a week or so I will have it completely finished.
