Christmas Napkins

Here is a pic of one of the Christmas napkins I made. I used the overlock stitch on my machine instead of the surger for the edges. These napkins were made from my Christmas table cloth that I have had for a long time, but this year it just wasn't working for a table cloth so I cut it up and made napkins :)

Baby Hot Head

Here is a hat I knitted a little while ago from my Stitch n Bitch book. The only problem is it came out way smaller then I had planned. So I gave it to my friend Christi for her baby Joshua....isn't he so cute!?

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, I had some pics I wanted to post of some crafts the kids and I did, but the camera ran out of batteries :( I thought that since tomorrow is Thanksgiving I would list a few things that I am thankful for...

1) My Salvation, sometimes I am just so overwhelmed with the love God has for me, and I am very thankful for the sacrifice of his son.

2) My family (all of them) but I'm gonna talk mostly about my husband. I am so thankful for the man that he is. That he loves God. I'm thankful he works hard at our marriage and doing what is right for it. I'm thankful he communicates with me and will talk things out with me. I'm thankful for the love he has for me and the kids. I am thankful that he values my job and the importance of homeschool. I am very thankful that he is a good leader!

3) I'm very thankful for the material things we have. Even though they may not be to the world's standards, I am so thankful to have my home, to have a car(even though only one), that I can buy food for my family, that I have medicine to give my children when they are sick. Honestly there are times I think I'm the luckiest person in the world. And I guess that comes with true contentment and peace of where and what you have.

Do Five Year Olds Knit?...

....I don't know, but here's mine trying. Mycah has been wanting me to teach him how to knit for a long time, but I keep telling him no he has to be a little older. But then he said, "I know how...you stick it through and wrap it around". He was kinda accurate so I thought well...why not let him try? So I casted on for him and got him started him. He did a good job, the only thing hard for him was trying to hold both kneedles and wrap the yarn. He got the idea and was doing it pretty good. He may be able to do it if he keeps practicing, but he lost intrest after about 20 mins of trying...lol.

My cutie still trying :)

My Knitted Hat

Here is the knitted hat I made last weekend. I think I'm gonna do another one in the same color but make it ribbed and start forming the crown sooner so it's not so "gathery" at the top.

Well...

I finished knitting a hat for myself (but I left it at my mom's house for now and have no pics of it yet) and it came out good. However, there are a few things I would like to change about it so I may or may not redo it.

We have been doing a lot of baking here this past week, from breads to lemon bars. Yesterday Trin and I made pumpkin muffins and then both kids helped in making pumpkin pie. Dad was busy removing the fireplace sense we are doing some remodeling. So far what he has gotten finished looks great. Can't wait to get done with all the dust >.<

I'm slowly woking on the quilt. However I don't know if I will make my Christmas goal. It's just so expensive trying to get all the material for it in a short amount of time...so I may be abandoning that plan :(
