My new pajamas

Here is a pic of my pajamas. I finished them earlier today. Have I said how much I love my new machine?? I got to use my automatic button hole maker with this to make the opening for my drawstrings. I'm still getting use to it being computerized, and having a slight delayed reaction when starting and stopping and picking up speed. So far things have been so nice and easy to make. I can't wait to try quilting!

Trin's new pajamas

Trin in her new pajamas. My new machine works awesome. Everything went so smooth while making these pajamas. I didn't have to keep stoping and fixing "problems". I used some of my other decorative stitches to add a pretty border to her pajamas. It is really cool looking. I am so loving this machine!

Closer pic of the pajamas.

Trying to get a better pic of the border.

Here is a pic of some of the decorative stitch options I can do. I used them to put a nice border on Trin's pajamas. It is two flowers and a heart.

My new machine!

This is my new sewing machine!! It came today. It is so cool and does so many diffrent things. It also came with a really nice carrying case (which I forgot to take a pic of). Which will come in handy when I take quilting classes. I am so happy. I don't even know where to begin with it. Not as simplistic as my first machine. I think I'm gonna have alot of fun sewing and quilting on this! Thank you Shane and Momma!!! You can go here to see more about it.

I have sooo many diffrent feet and quilting feet I don't know what to do with them all!!!

All my feet and tools are kept in this compartment. There are more tools under those in the pic.

Here's a pic of the LCD screen and stitch selections.

Mycah's pajamas

Here is Mycah wearing his new pajamas. They were pretty easy to make. I did however break two needles:( Still not sure about the collar with this pattern. I am starting on Trin's tomorrow hopefully. Her's will be from the same pattern.

Here is a closer pic of the pajamas.

Shane's pajamas

Here is a pic of the Pajamas I made for Shane. They are made out of flannel. They have pockets and have draw string and elastic around the waste. I hade to make my own button holes for the draw string and they came out good. Not exaclty the same size, but hey they work.

Here is just an upclose pic of the pajamas.

My Christmas present!!!

This is my new sewing machine that my wonderful husband and mom bought me for Christmas. It's freaking awesome. It won't be here until the day after Christmas, but I am sewwww excited! Shane did alot of research and checking to find a great sewing machine for me. Him and my mom did alot of sneaking around (shame, shame). So much thanks to both of them for loving me so much!!!

My first cloth diaper!

Here is a pic of my first diaper I have ever made. I made it for Trin's babydoll. I think it came out great since I had no patterns and I have no cloth diapers around my house anymore. I did use a babydoll sposie as my guide for size and a free pattern online to get an idea of how to construct it all though the one online was for a pocket one size fits all diaper. This is a fitted diaper. It has two layers of soaker in the middle for a total protection of a whopping 3 layers!! (ok..do I sound official now for all you cd'ing mothers out there?) This diaper has two flaws with it... a) it needs to be thinner between the legs, and b) I should have pulled the elastic tighter. But that's ok because the next diaper I make will be better. I'm just glad Trin has a nice soft fitted diaper for her baby now and not a nasty sposie, and if there is ever a Parsons 5 I can make my own diapers:)

Here is a pic of the diaper closed.

Here is the front of the diaper on the baby.

Here is the diaper from the bootie side:)

Trin's New Stocking

Here is a pic of Trin's completed stocking. I had to make the cuff two times. The first time I did it it was upside down. So I had to do her name twice. This time it turned out alot better than the first. I really love the candy material. I'm wishing now I hadn't put the poinsettia in it, but oh well. I had to make my own bias cording for her stocking and it was really easy to make...thankfully. I think it came out really good. Now I gotta try to get Shane and I one. Ours look like crap compared to the children's.

Here is an up close pic of Trin's embroidered name.

Sara's new pajamas

oops...I posted the pics backwards, but here is Sara wearing her new pajamas.

Here is a pair of pajama's I made for Trin's babydoll Sara. I made it up. I think it came out really good. Despite the fact it was hard to get the collar to fit right because her head is so big. It's a little loose around her neck, but it works and it wont' fall off. It was hard hemming the arms since they were so little. I enjoyed making it. Hopefully I can make her some more. I used flannel batik scraps from the pajama pants I had made me. I had intended on making them match Bil's pajamas but I didn't have enough scraps to make them matching ones, but Trin still likes it :)

Quilted Poinsettia

Here is the quilted poinsettia square for Bili's stocking :) Doreen helped me pick out the material for it. I really like it.
